CURE Faculty Learning Communities
Under the CURE program, faculty learning communities (FLC) have been established to allow faculty from all disciplines to share ideas, problems and solutions around the development and/or implementation of their CURE.
To help faculty address specific questions and develop materials QEP courses, we are assembling in year-long faculty learning communities (FLCs) for specific QEP programs. An FLC is “a cross-disciplinary faculty and staff group of six to fifteen members (eight to twelve members is the recommended size) who engage in an active, collaborative, yearlong program with a curriculum about enhancing teaching and learning and with frequent seminars and activities that provide learning, development, the scholarship of teaching, and community building.” (Cox, 2004)
