In March 2016, the Steering Committee passed its work on to a newly formed Implementation Committee. Some of the Steering Committee members were asked to serve on this committee due to their expertise in the selected areas. It was agreed shortly thereafter that the committee would be co-led by Dr. Greg Copenhaver, Professor, Department of Biology and Dr. Adam Persky, Clinical Associate Professor, Eshelman School of Pharmacy. The co-chairs were chosen for their breadth of coverage of natural and medical sciences and interest in undergraduate education.
